How to Have Better Dreams

Ever had a dream so incredibly beautiful that all other dreams paled in comparison?  Learn how to have better dreams by taking control of what happens while you sleep.

The best dreams are when you are with a special person and there is a heightened sense of passion.  You could have an incredible date or a special night alone.  The feelings are intense.  Then you wake up and it's all gone.  For the next week, try as you might, you can't seem to make that dream happen again.

There are some tricks you can use to make things happen in your dreams.  First, always keep a dream book.  Take notes about your dreams when you wake up to help improve your ability to remember your dreams.  This will help you remember your dreams more often.

Second, increase your capacity for lucid dreams.  This takes some practice at building your dream awareness.  (Find out how to do this here:  Lucid Dreaming Guide.)

Next, pick something that you want to dream about.  As an example, let's say you want to have a dream about an evening dinner on the beach alone with someone you really like. You want a little beach fire going, some blankets spread around, the perfect temperature, a full moon, a sky full of stars, a bottle of fine wine and no one else around at all.

It may take you a few days but you want to induce this particular dream by driving your mind towards thinking about the detail before you fall asleep.  Try writing a description of the dream before you fall asleep, listen to the kind of music you would want playing while in the dream, look at pictures online of evening beach settings, and use your mind to visualize the dream taking place.

When you enter a lucid dream state, start replaying the visuals that you used to induce the dream.  If you call to mind how the fire looked when you were picturing the dream during the day, you could make the fire pit appear in your dreams.  Do this with all of the details you wanted to include.

If you learn how to have better dreams, you can use those settings to create a better mood overall.  The feelings you experience carry over to your days.  Your attitude can be more positive.  You'll even start to see that the things you dream about happening at night can start to take place in real life because you are establishing a routine of wonderful life experiences.
